Inappropriate Magic (Magic of Magic Book 1)
4.2/5 stars - 44 ratings
A fantasy comedy adventure! -- Destined to become a wizard & save the world, Chauncy got a job instead. 25 years later, destiny is pissed. And this time, it won’t take no for an answer!
When destiny knocked on Chauncy's door, someone else answered it...and told destiny to take a hike. So instead of going on a grand adventure to become a great and powerful wizard so he could save the world from certain destruction, Chauncy got a job.
Twenty-five years later, destiny came for Chauncy a second time...and when he told it to take a hike, it knocked him out, tied him up, and kidnapped him.
Now Chauncy has no choice but to go on the grand adventure he'd been putting off, to become a great and powerful wizard. Except he doesn't believe in magic, and he doesn't particularly believe in destiny either. Problem is, if he doesn't fulfill his destiny, the world as he knows it will end. And even if he does learn to become the wizard he should have been long ago, it might be too late anyway!

Irreverent, Bawdy, Engaging Fun!
I thought I knew what I was in for. It all seemed predictable enough, if you’re familiar with the Potter series. Boy, was I wrong! Here is a story written with the wonder of youth, but for adults. Pick it up; you’ll be glad you did!
A Lot Of Truth Spoken In Jest
Clayton has written a story that works on many levels. It is an inspirational story of man's effort to survive. It is a cautionary tale of the use and misuse of spiritual abilities. And finally, it is a fascinating adventure story that promises to introduce a series of related tales.
I could not put this down.
Incredibly good
If you merged Harry Potter for adults with Terry Pratchett's Discworld add in buckets of humor and a totally irreverent outlook on all things proper and accepted you would have some idea of how good this book is. An absolute gem highly recommend a must-read.
Fast-paced fantasy with twists and turns
Book contains fast paced adventure. From the joy of childhood magic to learning that no magic makes life boring, the story sweeps the reader into a wondrous adventure. "Inappropriate" moments happen from double entendres and musings to figuring out different magics. This is a great escape story and a fun read with yet another twist at the end. I found it a lot of fun to read. Enjoy.
